Meet Our Experts | Underdog Cyber Defense

My passion for technology started back in the '80s when I got my first computer. I was hooked! I taught myself how to program, and although my teenage years briefly distracted me with friends and other adventures, I eventually found my way back to computers and turned that passion into a career spanning more than 30 years.

I founded Underdog with a simple vision: deliver exceptional IT support with a personal, white-glove approach that businesses could truly depend on. As cybercrime continued to grow, I realized that great IT support wasn't enough. Businesses needed someone looking out for their security, their reputation, and everything they'd worked so hard to build. That vision led to our evolution into Underdog Cyber Defense in 2023.

Outside of work, I'm a family man at heart. My wife Kelly and I have two sons, both Eagle Scouts, and we've always believed in giving back to our community. When I'm not working, you'll probably find me camping, hiking, cooking up something Italian, or chasing down my next roller coaster adventure!

My fascination with technology began in middle school when I first used an Apple IIe computer. I was so hooked that I convinced my parents we needed one at home! That early curiosity grew into a lifelong passion for computers and eventually led me to pursue a career in IT.

What drew me to Underdog was its family-oriented culture and strong commitment to integrity and respect. I enjoy being part of a team that genuinely cares about people, values doing what's right, and works together to help businesses stay protected.

Family and faith are at the heart of who I am. In February 2022, my wife and I experienced an unimaginable tragedy when we lost our four children and my mother-in-law in a house fire. Through heartbreak and loss, our faith in God and the incredible love and support of others have helped us continue moving forward. We carry the memory of our loved ones with us every day while embracing the blessings and new chapters life brings.

When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it's gardening, farming, taking a walk, or hiking a mountain. There's something special about being surrounded by nature and appreciating the simple things in life..

I've always been curious about computers and how technology works. Growing up, I explored different interests and hobbies, but somehow, I always found myself coming back to computers. The constant evolution of technology and the challenges it brings eventually inspired me to pursue a career in cybersecurity.

As a United States Marine Corps veteran, I learned the importance of teamwork, discipline, and adapting to whatever challenges come my way. Those values have stayed with me and are a big part of why I enjoy working at Underdog. We're a family-oriented team that's passionate about what we do, always learning, adapting, and finding better ways to protect our clients.

What I enjoy most is helping businesses stay secure while working alongside a team that genuinely cares about making a difference. There's always a new challenge to tackle, and that's what keeps things interesting!

Outside of work, my favorite role is being a husband a

nd dad. My wife Samantha and I love spending time with our son Charlie, whether we're going for walks, watching movies, or simply making memories together. When I get some downtime, you'll probably find me drawing, enjoying artwork inspired by the Northern Lights, or firing up a classic Nintendo 64!

Before joining Underdog, I spent 20 years working in the veterinary field, caring for animals of all shapes and sizes. Eventually, I traded in my veterinary career to spend more time raising our two boys. Once they were grown, I was ready for a new adventure, and what better place than Underdog Cyber Defense!

One of the things I love most about being part of Underdog is watching my husband, Carmine, turn his passion for technology into the business it is today. The values Underdog was built on—family, integrity, and genuinely caring about people—are the same values we've always shared at home. Being part of that journey makes my role here especially meaningful.

I was born and raised in East Northport, Long Island, where I met Carmine in 1992. We married in 1997 and moved to Pennsylvania in 2000, where we raised our two sons. Giving back has always been important to me, and I've enjoyed volunteering with Scouting and helping at our local food pantry.

When I'm not at work, you'll probably find me spending time with family, hiking, camping, or baking something delicious. And when Shark Week comes around, you can bet I'll be watching!.

I've always enjoyed figuring out how technology works, solving problems, and helping people along the way. That passion led me into IT, where I've gained experience troubleshooting technical issues, managing devices, working with cybersecurity tools, and helping clients keep their technology running smoothly.

What I enjoy most about my role is knowing that I can make someone's day a little easier. There's something rewarding about tackling a difficult problem, finding the solution, and helping someone get back to doing what they do best. Technology is constantly changing, which means there's always something new to learn and another challenge to take on!

What drew me to Underdog was the team's commitment to putting clients first and working together. I appreciate being part of a company that genuinely cares about the people we serve while helping businesses stay protected from evolving cybersecurity threats. It's a place where I can continue growing professionally while making a meaningful difference.

Outside of work, my faith and family are at the center of my life. I enjoy spending time with loved ones, sharing my faith, and appreciating the simple things in life. Whether it's worshipping on Sunday, taking a peaceful walk along the beach, or enjoying God's creation, I believe some of life's greatest moments are found in the little things.

If there's one thing I've learned throughout my career, it's that you never know where life will take you! I've worn quite a few hats over the years, from cosmetology and dental school to bookkeeping and serving as an Assistant Director of Wellness at a nursing community. Each experience taught me something new, and eventually, my journey brought me to Underdog Cyber Defense.

What I love most about working at Underdog is that you're not just another number. You're part of a team where everyone has an opportunity to make a difference. We're a close-knit group that genuinely cares about our clients and each other, and I love being part of that. Even though my role is behind the scenes, knowing that the work I do helps our team keep businesses running smoothly and securely makes it all worthwhile.

As an Administrative Assistant, no two days are ever quite the same, and that's exactly how I like it! I enjoy juggling different responsibilities, keeping things organized, and helping everything come together. Whether it's managing a busy schedule, tackling an unexpected challenge, or lending a hand wherever I'm needed, I've learned that a little organization and a lot of flexibility go a long way.

Outside of work, life is just as busy! Family means everything to me, and I love spending time with my loved ones, our dogs, and enjoying the occasional camping adventure. I'm also passionate about animal rescue and have dedicated time to making a difference in the lives of animals in need. Between family, pets, and everyday adventures, there's rarely a dull moment, but I wouldn't have it any other way!
